Playing in London EVERY Sunday in August

Witness the rise of Europe's most formidable monarch this summer.

Out of 117 billion people who have ever lived on this earth, only 38 have been bestowed the title of ‘the Great’ in history. So, what the hell does it even mean to be great?

Frederick an artistic, book-loving, anti-war, queer man, born into a world where greatness is defined by the bodies amassed on the battlefield, did not appear destined for the title of 'Great.'

This historical drama follows Frederick's tumultuous rise to the throne; outwitting his abusive father, battling the fierce Maria Theresa, and falling in love with Prussia's best solider, Hans Herman Von Katte.

The Making of Frederick the Great places this true love story at the heart of history, boldly redefining the narrative of what it means to be great.

"I have been researching and writing this play for nearly 5 years and I am so excited to bring it to the stage. It is a long overdue examination of one of history’s most fascinating figures. Frederick the Great was a complex and contradictory man, and his sexuality was a central part of his identity. This play seeks to tell his story in all its complexity."

"Eliza’s writing so beautifully looks at the world we live into today. You can’t help but draw comparisons to Prince Harry, our monarchy and the war in Ukraine. The play is bursting with politics, history and drama…but my god is it saucy along the way (think if Bridgerton and Hamlet had a baby!). I hope you fall in love with this play as much as I have."
